Day 2 Netball and a Nice Meal

Well not quite such an early start, an extra half hour in bed. We are off to a different venue today and a new route. We both have a lovely fruit mix for breakfast and it is lush. We head off tickets and Clyde packed for the day. Not a busy day by our standards, we have a meal booked in at a place called Oscars this afternoon and then a reasonably early night. We get to the venue in good time and head into the arena. Having never liked netball at school I am wondering what it will be like and we are both pleasantly surprised. NZ are playing Malawi and the African nation still quite new to the sport run them really close only losing but a few points in the final quarter. The GS for them is amazing, what reach, jump and I can only call it elastic ness she had.

We both realise we have a couple of netball boffins in front of us so pick their brains on the game and they both play at a good level and have friends in both the England and Wales teams so are unsure who to support.

England run out quite easy winners and it is a sport we would definately watch again. Apparently our GK is ranked at the No 2 player in the world, the No1 being from NZ and who plays C.

We head out of what was a reasonably comfortable temperature into the blazing city that Glasgow has become. We are asked to take a survey but a Glasgow 2014 lady and happily answer her questions. Once back in the city centre we find a nice cocktail bar and have a couple of drinks and watch some squash on their big screen before heading over to Oscars for a meal via a voucher the ever resourceful Miss O has purchased.

After this we head back to the comfort of the B&B and once again take in the days highlights. Team Scotland are having a fab games in the pool and judo and Team England are not doing bad either. We crash out hoping to maybe watch our first home country Gold tomorrow at the very much top of out event list tomorrow - The TRACK CYCLING
