report on her day at Excel on Saturday 8th September.....Thanks Lara..
ok this is my day at the ExCel
It started early 5AM the alarm went off and snooze was hit and hit again, i know that was a lay in to the time you were both up !!!!!!! Off to Swindon station for for the 06.41
train to Paddingtonsaid my good byes to Jane and Julie ............and off i went to get the tube to Kings cross St Francras , I'd spoken to my Mum on the phone the night before and
my Dad had shouted in the back ground not to talk to any strange men on the tube ( as we had done on the way to the olympics.......) i did also asked if they had seen how I'd dressed
and may be i could be seen as the strange one anyway i hadn't been on the tube two minutes before a bloke went you look offical are you to do with the Olympic thing that going on (
Olympic THING ) no i said i'm a nobody probably not the correct term well that was it then i've made a friend for life he was here from Austraila on business and he had forgot
how we Pomm's (Ive never been called a pomm before ) love are stairs I wrongly thought he ment in the Olympic stadium oh noooooooooo we just love stairs ( this I also didn't
know didn't tell him I lived in Swindon may have got told about roundabouts).......anyway off on the tube we went and managed to escape the man arrived at tower hill then a shortwalk to Tower
Gateway and got the DLR and saw some amazing views including the Olympic stadium happy days and the o2 and cable cars (bit high) people living in the flat on the way to the ExCel had put their
countries flags out on the balconies and it looked fab arrived at the entrance and on way in was asked if i had any change or things in my pockets as they were giving out clear bag to put
your thing in to go through the airport security (posh didnt get that at the Olympic park so then through to the security had to remove my watch AND sunglasses from top of my head again
didnt do that at theOlympic park and just for a change iIset the alarms off and she did a mega search I must have look well dodge she search me way more than the army did at the olympics
!!!!!! went into the ExCel bought the day 10 program then went straight to the boccia two games were on both for single bronze in two different categories after doing this
sport in school for TWELVE years (ahhhhhhhh) thought I'd go see how it was played wow !!!!!! then i went off to the table tennis which was an added bonus because when I bought the ticket
was just going for the Boccia but turn out that I had a day pass from9AM- 10.30PM first I watched the womens double it was fab i watched France v Poland and oe of the girls had played
in the Olympics had a family behind me nd the two young boys were asking why the four girls playing were in the Paralympics because they weren't disabled but they did think the
umpire was as he was sat down wonderful......... then up was two games of two x4people on each team they play 5 games then swop with team members i did manage to confuse myself
as was watcing one game live infront of me while the other game was over to my left but was on the big screen also straight in front of me so watching two games ummmm didn't know who's who
!!!!!!!!! then off to wheelchair Fencing loved loved loved this, I arrived early so got a great seat 1 . becauses at the front 2. it was under a fan ......... so I sat nice and cool
eating my lunch and with a lovely cup of tea then word must have got out because everyone piled in but unbeknown to me GB were playing how chuffed was I they had four section so eight
playing and it was all electric so all came up infront of you its so quick it was amazing loved it sadly we came eighth but as with all the event Olympic and Paralympic win lose or draw the
cheers were just as good with the flags flying stayed and watched the other Countries play they fly around in the chairs but the stands come off the floor as well its just so fast .Then
went back to the boccia GB up again had a fab day met some really nice people and some strange one (it was only one Dad, honest) then it was train home didn't stay to late
as wanted to get home to watch the men's final T44 ,4000m Oscar Pistorius....... and i should have put mone on the finish because i called it 1st 2nd &3rd well it was the order i
wanted it to finish 1st Pistorius 2nd Leeper 3rd Prince . Perfect end to a perfect day fantastic ............... and now sadly its coming to an end so sad have loved all the sport in the
Olympics and Paralympics have made a dent in the sofa from where i have sat constantly ......but wow how lucky have I been to go and see the Olympics and Paralympics LIVE .....WOW AMAZING
AMAZING AMAZING could go on forever .............

As many of you know Miss Moss (Lara) has been popping down to the Olympics and Paralympics.
She was attending Excel for the final weekend of the Paralympics and agreed to give us a report on the suitability of the various sports taking place their for the younsters back at Crowdys.
She was seeing Boccia, Table Tennis and Seated Fencing.
Once we have her report we will load it on with photos.
