Memories

Well the DVD has arrived so we can arrange our Olympic catch up evening with Trudy and Lara who were as crazy for everything Olympic as we were and still are!!!

Everytime we speak to anyone about the summer it all tends to get quite emotional. This is the last picture we took on the final day of the Paralympics and just before the Closing Ceremony. We still have to pinch ourselves in our luck and dedication to get tickets and I know I will never experience anything like it again.

So after the Olympic and Paralympic blues set in what can we look forward to. Well we do have a nice cruise to look forward to at Christmas in the Carabean so that large belly (mine not the lovely soldier who posed with Wenlock and Manderville) needs to go so work has begun in earnest to remove at least some of it before I take to s sun lounger!!!!

We have already registered for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and much to Miss O's dismay they begin two days before her school ends for the summer so not sure how we find a way round that but we have time. We also have tickets for the Opening Ceremony for the Rugby League World Cup next year (2013) and two games between England and Australia and Wales and France at The Millenium Stadium.

Plans are on their way for our civil ceremony in 2014, we are having a kind of three week event....the big day in Gretna ( castle, hotel and owl booked) with a few close friends and the reception the week after in Cheltenhan and followed the week after that I am assuming with Mardi Gras in Manchester.

With all that in the pipeline 2013 is going to be a quiet prudent year. To celebrate aover a thousand hits on our little site we have decided to get some more photos posted which hopefully will remind people of the fab summer of 2012.

We have one final treat in store this year as well to re-kindle the Olympic memories. I had planned it as a surprise as Superstars is making a special appearance this year and its being filmed in Bath so I had managed to get tickets as a surprise for Miss O, only for her to come home from school the other day to tell me the school she works at has been offered tickets so my surprise was out the window and we are now going with I think around 37 children from her school. (Who said romance was dead).

I will add in more photos over the next couple of weeks. As always comments always welcome and a big thank you for coming and visiting our site. I am amazed we have had over a 1000 hits!!!!
