Superstars and Pictures

30th November 2012

Well the superstars day out was a bit of a damp squib other than we did manage to see 12 GB Olympic Medalist's doing their best in the 800m, cheered on by those not doing that event. It was cold, blustery and very, very wet but am pleased in a way that we went, in hindsight opting for one of the indoor events would have been a better idea!!!!

More pictures now uploaded of Day 5 - Rowing, and what was the first gold for Team GB, we also went to a prelim mens footy games but got to half time and Miss O had fallen asleep so we headed back to base, it was a 0-0 draw so didn't miss too much. Day 6 was a wonder around London spotting Manderville and Wenlock and the Ice Bar for a fun filled afternoon. Day 7 saw us back at Wimbledon and a somewhat football type atmosphere for Andy Murray's semi final which he won and then went on to win Gold. More pics and memories to follow.

23rd November 2012

Well here we are in wet and blustery November. Looking back at the summer and now forward to Christmas, however as luck would have it we have another Olympic adventure tomorrow at the filming of the BBC Superstars Christmas Special, full of our Olympic heroes. Although it looks like a wet and blustery day tomorrow we will be heading down to Bath with some 30+ SEN youngsters from Miss O's school ( it was due to be a surprise for her but hey ho I am sure the kids will enjoy it as much as us big kids).

On view will be Alastair Brownlee, Jonathon Brownlee, Mo Farah, Robbie Grabarz, Michael Jamieson, Anthony Joshua, Andrew Trigg Hodge, Peter Wilson, Nicola Adams, Lizzie Armistead, Laura Bechtolsheimer, Gemma Gibbons, Helen Glover, Kath Grainger, Jade Jones and Christine Ohuruogu. We will be watching the 100m and 800m.

And so teh Olympic memory will continue on!!!!! As you can see Trudy our favourite Games Maker (above) is showing the distrught face of Post Olympic and Paralympic Disorder which is sweeping the natione. Hopefully the post Olympic / Paralympic get together after Christmas will go some way to easing the tense expression.

More photos are also now here for day 3 (Harry Potter - many more to come) and day 4 (Womans football Team GB v Brazil), check out the photo page.

More to follow once we have been and the programme ahs been aired as we are sworn to secrecy until the programme goes out.
